About Me

crazybaron
ANDREW LUCRE Over the years, I've written mainly on the arts for a wide-range of national newspapers and magazines including The Times/Sunday Times (London), Financial Times, The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, The London Evening Standard, The Face, Opera Now, Classic FM. Also, the enfant terrible opera critic for the UK's first colour tabloid Today. Produced Stephen 'Billy Elliot' Daldry's first theatre hit Judgement Day. Was going to direct that myself but appearing on stage every night at the Old Vic and taking understudy wrestling lessons by day proved a bit hectic. Lucky Mr. D. In my meal breaks I was a comedy script consultant for Channel Four back in the days before reality shows began supplanting any aspirant Preston Sturges. As an actor/dancer, I've pounded the Royal Opera House stage and gossamered around Bjork and Joel Grey in Lars von Trier's film Dancer in the Dark. And there's a whole lot more, but you'll just have to find that out yourself! lucreandrew@yahoo.com
